  1. Do your due diligence. All herbal supplements come with specifications and possible downsides. Use your head. Common sense dictates too much of almost anything good can be bad for you. Dig deep online before you take anything especially unregulated ingestibles.

  2. Well, I think Pharmaceuticals are no better. You take one thing and then that one can cause side effects so now your taking even more meds. I guess patient for life going for refills no no better either. I would also rework the pharmaceutical industry where it can't use funds for example in the media and social media.

  3. He started prioritizing health at 50. The damage was probably already down. If anything his body started detoxing after starting a healthy regimen and revealed it.

  4. This guy probably listens to Joe Rogan. He mentions turmeric often. When buying supplements you have to pay more for the qualiry brands. Amazon is loaded with new upstart brands making cheap crap.

  5. I've been taking herbs and vitamin supplements faithfully for 40 years. I always give them a rest for 2wks to detox the body. I read that tumeric can contain high levels of lead, so I stopped taking it regularly. Some Indians eat it almost everyday in their food. Never took ashwagandah since it's unfamiliar to me.

  6. Summary: botanical supplements, esp. Tumeric, Green Tea Extract and Ashwaganda can lead to liver issues. They also recommend the website Livertox to check if certain supplements are toxic for the liver. I wasn't suprised by these 3 as they all tend to have heavy metals in them, especially lead, even when used as a spice or tea…but super concentrating them just increases the lead intoxication. Certain plants just happen to absorb certain metals more…i.e. Canabis absorbs a lot of cadmium, more than other plants. So when you smoke or eat canabis you are slowly poisoning yourself with one of the worst and hardest to detox heavy metals, cadmium.

  7. I'm from india and I don't know what "ashwagandha" is or does. And I don’t personally know anyone here in India who takes them. But you know who does? Tourists…
These idiots probably wouldn’t take regular supplements like multivitamins or essential fatty acids, because they think they're just useless pills pushed by Big Pharma. But anything with "ashwagandha" in it; they’d be up for snorting it through their backside if the label told them to.

  8. more disinformation from fake news..turmeric w pepper for 2000% more absorption.
lost over 40 lbs by quitting alcohol, keto, exercise, sauna in the last 90 days. check out Rhonda Patrick phd, Ford gerger berg. Do your own research!

  9. As someone who works night shifts I really need my vitamin D3K2 from supplement. Otherwise it'll be deficient, considering I'm also brown skinned. Diets, won't cut it unless im chugging a bucket of fish.

  10. it's not as simple as they say
when taking supplements you have to watch out for a few factors
    1. Daily dose
    2. age and weight of the patient
    3. Interactions with other supplements or medications
    4. Current diseases or conditions of the patient
    5. Time of day of taking the supplement
    6. form of taking the supplement (during a meal, before or after a meal)
    7. Product quality (a large number of products are of very low quality)

  11. 😮 and if you google it, turmeric is supposed to be good for the liver…..the irony! We NEED to stop assuming most foods are “superfoods”.

“Supplement induced liver injury”….never heard that before. 😮 wow!

  12. ~ Thanks for the Info… I Remember back in the 1990s When they figured out that ( Ephedrine was giving people Seizures ) and it was in 10% of the Products at the Health Food Store …

  13. An attack on healthy supplements, they actually promote big pharma poison. Droves of people die daily from doctor prescribed big pharma poison. You won't see the news covering those deaths, big pharma owns the news. But one guy takes too much turmeric, oh no. Go vegan.

  14. In the EU, the supplement industry is highly regulated and are subject to testing. So you know you’re getting good quality supplements. But hey, America!

  15. Do NOT take green tea extract supplement, they are toxic. But Drink organic green tea.

Don't take tumeric supplements all at once, take it throughout the day with a low dosage and make sure to take it with fatty food, otherwise your body won't absorb

  16. Just do your research- buy from quality and third party tested and back companies. You will know the difference. Read reviews. Look at ingredients. Many supps are so beneficial if you don’t let big pharma scare you away (i take meds which unfortunately i do need and the supps reverse the side effects) i wish there was a supplement alternative maybe in the future but until then my regimen is very helpful.
